My all-time favourite travel based movies

There are some days where you want to binge watch movies, whether they are action, romance, drama or every other genre out there…. Some days it is a great idea to watch a movie which could make you feel like you are on the ultimate adventure, or even inspire you a little to travel or follow your dreams. I have come up with a few travel based films which I have found so exciting to watch, and sometimes make me want to head straight to the airport, if you want a few adventure films to watch I’ve listed a few below.

Eat, Pray, Love

ALL. TIME. FAVOURITE. MOVIE. MADE. This movie is just the most incredible to watch, based on my opinion anyways. I found this movie extremely inspiring, allowing you to know that you are never too old to follow your dreams, or whatever ever situation you may think you are stuck in and cannot escape (you are most definitely not in anything) or just the simple example of when things in life are not working out pack your bags and go. Best explanation of the movie would be, a woman who found herself in a horrible situation decided to go find herself in other countries such as Italy, India and Indonesia and what do you know….. I guess you must watch to find out.

Under the Tuscan Sun

I find this film very similar to Eat, Pray, Love although quite different. It once again inspires you to take risks and try new things despite on what may be going on in your personal life. A recent divorcee sets of to Tuscany, Italy and unexpectedly buys herself a villa and hoping for a positive change in her life. This film is super sweet and exciting to watch, it also gives you a little feel of what the local Italian lifestyle is like. I would most definitely recommend anyone to watch this, and of course those of you who are going through a rough patch where a film like this one could definitely cheer you up.

The Bucket List

There is just every single reason in the world to watch this film, if you have not watched it… go now! Everything about this film is just incredible, it has got to be one of the most inspiring films created. Allowing you to know that you really only have one life and you do not want to be realizing at one point you wished you had lived it differently in which it may be to late. This film is full of fun, laughter and full of emotions but you will not regret watching it. Whether you are 20 or 60, whatever your age may be never stop following your dreams, never forget to travel and have fun. I do not want to give away any of the films details, I just want you to watch it!

Into The Wild

This movie is another inspiring film, reminding you to find the small things in life that matter and to just live in the moment and enjoy yourself. Based on a freshly graduated man from college with a promising future ahead, McCandless instead walked out of his privileged life and into the wild in search of adventure. What happened to him on the way transformed this young wanderer into an enduring symbol for countless people by being a fearless risk-taker who wrestled with the precarious balance between man and nature. Another MUST WATCH!

Lost in Translation

The film is based on Tokyo, where two strangers meet unexpectedly and form an incredible bond, it all started when Charlotte is accompanying her husband John, who is 30 years old and a constantly busy photographer, who doesn’t pay much attention to her. He goes to Tokyo to shoot for a few days. She feels sad, lost and alone in a luxurious hotel. After a few days, Bob and Charlotte have a pleasant short conversation in a hotel bar. I would suggest to watch this movie, it is a strange but interesting film.

I hope you enjoy watching these films! 🙂
