Luxury at the Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa

Hotel / Resort Review: Fiji

Hotel: Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa

Dates: 22nd Nov – 28th Nov 2016

Room: King Beachfront Studio

We had been looking for a while for a great beach destination to go to as the weather was warming up around November last year (2016), in which we decided on Fiji. The moment we had started looking for a space to stay in Fiji (Nadi to be specific) we automatically fell in love with Hilton Fiji Beach Resort & Spa. I wanted to book it straight away! We were deciding on what kind of room to stay in based on the facilities & room types. Which we ended up deciding on a ‘King Beachfront Studio,’ as the photos looked incredible. (Let’s just say the photos didn’t do justice, it was amazing!!!!)

Staff

Let’s just say from the moment we hopped out of a taxi that brought us from the airport, I already knew it was going to be the perfect getaway. As we hopped out we were greeted with a big “BULA, Welcome to Fiji,” it was awesome! There was one staff member helping us with our bags and another singing a beautiful welcome song in Fijian with a guitar (felt like a movie scene). At the reception desk the person who had checked us in was super helpful and went through many specific things in which we needed to know and offered us their 24-hour support. Which they stuck to, we needed to call the desk any time of the day and they were always there to answer & mind you extremely helpful to us!

Staff for me was a 10/10.

Resort

Overall the place was incredible and super tropical. They basically had like 3-4 pools (children, adults, infants) which was great as the adult pool was nice for some peace and quiet every now and then. The pools were located right on the beach which was beautiful along with the restaurants (which I will talk about after). They had buggies which would take guest to and from the rooms as the resort was quite large. Luckily for us our room was in walking distance from everything, but far away enough for complete peace. I am a sucker of sunrises & sunsets and oh my did the hilton bless me with a beautiful sunset every single day.

Location (transport)

The Hilton was in a great spot, as we were quite the distance away from other resorts. It was on one stop to get to the Marina from the Hilton which was great, we usually caught the Bula Bus. I loved the Bula Bus as it came frequently during the day and you could catch it for as many times as you wish once you purchased the $7 ticket. You can hop to other resorts and check out their services also.

Room

All I can say is WOW! We stayed in the King Beachfront Studio which is quite frankly one of the least expensive rooms, yet I was absolutely blown away. First off we were a nice walking distance from the reception, restaurants & pools. What I loved the most is the beautiful view from our room.

Our room was just perfect too. We had a beautiful king bed, very modern bathroom facilities (a spa bath) which was closed off by large tropical sliding doors. There was the tv, phone facilities, free wifi, the closet and mini fridge. It was a large room which incredible amounts of space as there were two of us it was perfect. We had a little terrace with a day bed which we relaxed on basically everyday if we didn’t wish to be in the sun. There we upstairs and downstairs option, we got a downstairs option which was incredible as we could just walk from our room right out the back door to the water (perfecto).

View from our terrace.

Eating

Within the vicinity of the resort they had two restaurants & room service. The two restaurants which were located within the Resort are known as Nuku & Maravu. The food was fantastic and the service was incredible. I enjoyed eating dinner at the resort restaurants as the sun was setting, it was a beautiful sight. The atmosphere is great as they usually have a band playing music. One downfall would be was that the restaurants were slightly overpriced (than the marina options) I would totally eat there again. You cannot stay at the Hilton without eating at either Nuku or Maravu. Also we ordered room service, which did come on time. They were super sweet when they dropped it off & they called back later to check that we enjoyed our meal.

Here are a few other photos of our stay at the Hilton Beach Resort & Spa:

Sunrise!Sunset during dinner.

I would 100% recommend the resort for everyone! They are very welcome to families, couples & elderly. It is a great environment, staff are incredible and the service is fantastic. Finally, would give this resort a big 10/10 overall.

Oh wow, how beautiful! I’ve been to Hawaii for work, but I didn’t have any downtime while I was there. I think a trip to Fiji would more than make up for that! Thank you for your suggestions!

I’m going to add this to my list. My husband and I are big travelers but we’ve had to take a break over the past couple of years for pregnancies and grad school, so we agree next year we’re going somewhere amazing for sure! I’m glad you mentioned kid pools, but on the other hand, it looks like it’d be so much more peaceful without the little terrors. 🙂
